ടൊറന്റോ∙ കാനഡയിലെ ടൊറന്റോയില്‍ വാഹനാപകടത്തില്‍ അഞ്ച് ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ മരിച്ചു. പഞ്ചാബ് സ്വദേശികളായ ഹർപ്രീദ് സിങ്, ജസ്പീന്ദർ സിങ്, കരൺപാൽ സിങ്, മോഹിത് ചൗഹാൻ, പവൻ കുമാർ എന്നിവരാണ് മരിച്ചത്. രണ്ടുപേര്‍ക്ക് പരുക്കേറ്റതായും കാനഡയിലെ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ഹൈക്കമ്മിഷണർ അജയ് ബിസാരിയ അറിയിച്ചു.

ശനിയാഴ്ച  പുലര്‍ച്ചെ 3:45ഓടെയാണ് അപകടമുണ്ടായത്. ഹൈവേ 401ൽ, ഇവർ സഞ്ചരിച്ചിരുന്ന വാൻ ട്രാക്ടറുമായി കൂട്ടിയിടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. അപകടത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് അന്വേഷണം തുടരുകയാണ്. ഇതുവരെ കേസ് റജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല.
