പ്രശസ്തനായ ഹാസ്യ നടൻ രാജു ശ്രീവാസ്തവ അന്തരിച്ചു. ട്രെഡ്മില്ലിൽ ഓടുന്നതിനിടെ കുഴഞ്ഞുവീണതിനെ തുടർന്ന് ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 10 മുതൽ വെന്റിലേറ്ററിലാണ് ശ്രീവാസ്തവ. ആൻജിയോപ്ലാസ്റ്റി ചെയ്തിട്ടും ശ്രീവാസ്തവയുടെ ആരോഗ്യനില അന്നുമുതൽ മാറ്റമില്ലാതെ തുടക്കുകയായിരുന്നു . 

രാവിലെ 10.20ന് രാജു ശ്രീവാസ്തവ മരിച്ചതായി ആശുപത്രി വൃത്തങ്ങൾ അറിയിച്ചു. "അദ്ദേഹം ഇപ്പോൾ ഇഞങളെ വിട്ടു പോയി എന്നും ഇത് ശരിക്കും നിർഭാഗ്യകരമായ വാർത്തയാണ്. 40 ദിവസത്തിലേറെയായി അദ്ദേഹം ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ജീവന് വേണ്ടി  പോരാടുകയായിരുന്നു എന്നും " ദിപൂ ശ്രീവാസ്തവ പിടിഐയോട് പറഞ്ഞു.

ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 10 ന് ട്രെഡ്‌മില്ലിൽ വ്യായാമം ചെയുമ്പോൾ  ശ്രീവാസ്തവയ്ക്ക് ഹൃദയാഘാതം സംഭവിച്ചു കുഴഞ്ഞു വീഴുകയായിരുന്നു . “അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ പതിവ് വ്യായാമം ചെയ്യുകയായിരുന്നു പെട്ടന്ന്  ട്രെഡ്‌മില്ലിൽ ഇരിക്കുകയും പെട്ടെന്ന് താഴേക്ക് വീഴുകയായിരുന്നു,” അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ബന്ധുവായ അശോക് ശ്രീവാസ്തവ അതേ ദിവസം മാധ്യമങ്ങളോട് പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

1963 ഡിസംബർ 25ന് ഉത്തർപ്രദേശിലെ കാൺപൂരിലാണ് രാജു ശ്രീവാസ്തവ ജനിച്ചത്. ശിഖയെയാണ് രാജു ശ്രീവാസ്തവ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചത്. ദമ്പതികൾക്ക് രണ്ട് കുട്ടികളുണ്ട്: മകൻ ആയുഷ്മാൻ, മകൾ അന്താര.

വിദഗ്ധരുടെ അഭിപ്രായത്തിൽ, രക്തക്കുഴലുകളിലെ തടസ്സങ്ങൾ അവഗണിക്കപ്പെടുകയോ തിരിച്ചറിയപ്പെടാതിരിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യുന്ന സന്ദർഭങ്ങളിൽ വ്യായാമ വേളയിൽ ഹൃദയാഘാതം ഉണ്ടാകാം . ചിലപ്പോൾ വർക്ക്ഔട്ടുകൾ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ വൈദ്യുത തടസ്സം സൃഷ്ടിച്ച് ഹൃദയസ്തംഭനത്തിലേക്ക് നയിച്ചേക്കാം. കഠിനമായ വ്യായാമം ഫാറ്റി പ്ലാക്കുകൾ പൊട്ടി ഹൃദയാഘാതത്തിലേക്ക് നയിക്കും.

ഗജോധർ എന്ന നിലയിൽ വളരെയധികം ജനപ്രീതി നേടിയ ശ്രീവാസ്തവ ഹാസ്യനടൻ  എന്ന നിലയിൽ  മികച്ച കരിയർ നേടിയിരുന്നു . ഹാസ്യനടൻ എന്നതിന് പുറമെ  അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് രാഷ്ട്രീയ ജീവിതവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. 2014 ലോക്‌സഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ സമാജ്‌വാദി പാർട്ടി സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥിയായി കാൺപൂരിൽ നിന്ന് മത്സരിച്ചിരുന്നു. പിന്നീട് ചില  കാരണങ്ങളാൽ അദ്ദേഹം സമാജ്‌വാദി പാർട്ടി വിട്ട് പിന്നീട് ബിജെപിയിൽ ചേർന്നു.

Noted Indian comedian Raju Srivastav dies at 58 due to complications post heart attack, was in ICU for over a month in AIIMS



Comedian Raju Srivastava, a popular face in the entertainment industry, has passed away. Srivastava has been on a ventilator since August 10 after he collapsed while running on a treadmill.
Srivastava's health condition remained unchanged since that day despite having an angioplasty procedure.

Raju Srivastava was declared dead at 10.20 am, according to hospital sources. "I got a call from the family about half-an-hour ago saying he is no more. It is really unfortunate news. He was fighting in the hospital for over 40 days," Dipoo Srivastava told PTI.


On August 10, Srivastava suffered a massive cardiac arrest while on the treadmill. He collapsed during the workout. "He was doing his routine exercise and while he was on the treadmill, he suddenly fell down,” his cousin Ashok Srivastava had told the media on the same day.
Immediately after this he was admitted to AIIMS hospital in New Delhi and underwent angioplasty the same day.

Also known as balloon angioplasty and percutaneous transluminal angioplasty, this process is used to widen the blocked or narrowed down arteries and veins which happen due to arterial atherosclerosis. The purpose behind the angioplasty process is to break the fatty plaque build up in the blood vessel and is recommended to those whose heart function has already come at risk.

Cardiac arrest during workout

Srivastava's health condition has sent waves of shock and sorrow among his fans and followers. During the time he had the heart attack several questions were raised on how safe workouts are for heart health. As per his cousin, he was doing the regular routine workout.
As per experts cardiac attacks during workouts are inevitable in those cases where the blockages in the blood vessels have been ignored or are undiagnosed. Sometimes workouts can trigger electrical disturbance in the heart leading to cardiac arrest. Strenuous exercise can also cause the fatty plaques to rupture leading to heart attack.
Immensely popular as Gajodhar, Srivastava, had an illustrious career in the industry. Apart from the entertainment industry he also had a political career. He had contested from Kanpur in the 2014 Lok Sabha Election as a Samajwadi party candidate. However, citing reasons he left the party and joined BJP later.
