The state status of Jammu and Kashmir may be restored, This will discuss PM Modi on 24th June meet with top leaders of J&K in Delhi

New Delhi: The Center is all set to restore the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir. The Prime Minister is expected to hold discussions with political leaders in the region on the issue. As announced earlier by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, the state status of Jammu and Kashmir will soon be restored, the report said.

Leaders of all major parties in Jammu and Kashmir are invited to the meeting . According to sources, 14 leaders, including four former chief ministers, have been invited by the PM 's office. Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla invited the leaders to attend a meeting at the Prime Minister's residence.The dignitaries invited to the meeting are, National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah, son Omar Abdullah, senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti, Congress leader Tara Chand, People's Conference leader Muzaffar Hussain Baig, BJP leaders Nirmal Singh, Kavinder Gupta, and CPM leader Yusuf Tarigami.

However, PDP leader and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has refused to come to Delhi for the Jammu and Kashmir all-party meeting convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
