Paloor Kotta Waterfall is a waterfall in Malappuram district. This waterfall is located between Malaparam Palachod and Kadungapuram Pallikulam which are adjacent to Angadipuram and Puzhakattiri panchayats. Here the water flows from a height of about 500 feet through the cliffs.

Its full appearance is visible during the heavy rains of June and July. It is said that this area was used as a staging post by Tipu Sultan when his campaign swept through Malabar. If you look from the top of this waterfall, you could see the enemies coming to attack from a distance of kilometers. Tipu chose this place as a hiding place because the enemy could not easily climb to the top of it.

Although I have visited Idukki and Wayanad a lot, I have recently visited Paloor Kotta Waterfall, which is 30 km away from home. When I visited, I thought why I was late. Following the instructions of my friend Ubaid, I came here with Habib and Shiju.
I climbed up and down like an adventurer clinging to the slippery and mossy rocks. Meanwhile, I share with you how my friends stopped me by my shoulders when my foot slipped. So be very careful when you come here.

This is a waterfall that flows down like milk through the green area. When you hear Paloor Fort, many people think that it must be Vallakotta or something, where the kings used to live. This fort built by nature is more beautiful than the fort built by kings.

This place will appeal to any nature lover. Photographers will love this place to see a variety of butterflies and birds. The power of the waterfall, which is beautiful when it starts raining in the month of June, decreases by the month of November. The water flowing from what can be described as a lake or pool above falls from a height of about six feet. Then it travels flat for a short distance and again becomes a small bump and falls down from a height of two people. Then it flows through the channel and falls into the stream.
If you want to enjoy the full beauty of the two-tiered waterfall, you have to climb to the top tier. If you stand here, you can see the far view of that country.

Since it is an unknown place, there is no rush and those who want to enjoy the beauty of nature can go here. Even we who decided not to get wet, could not go without going down to the river.

You can reach here by traveling two kilometers from the Kadungapuram school steps on the Angadipuram- Kottakal route.
